Extension for resume submission has been extended for the Park Aide position until June, 1st5/18/2020 The Park Aide position performs a wide variety of manual and semi-skilled duties relating to the construction, maintenance, and repair of park grounds and facilities. Applicant must be able to maintain general appearance of park grounds, landscaping, tennis courts, buildings, and picnic areas. Specific duties may include but not limited to: trash collecting and litter pick up, restroom cleaning, janitorial, painting, irrigation, mowing, setting up for special events, and other related duties as required.
This position requires the ability to: follow written and verbal instructions; work safely and independently without close supervision; to communicate effectively with staff and elected officials; to exercise good judgment when assessing hazards and public safety issues; when interacting with the public you must be respectful in a courteous matter; must have the ability to work weekends; must be able to read and write at a level that ensures compliance with safety program requirements and warning labels; be able to use and operate a variety of hand and power tools. Typical term of employment is May 1st. until Oct 11th. This is a seasonal, part time position (Up to 15-20 hours a week Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) The pay rate for this position starts at $12.00/ hour.
